About
Microliterature is an online and print journal of critically acclaimed works of fiction and nonfiction between 1-1000 words in length.
Microliterature
Microliterature is a form of literary work that is 1-1000 words. Fiction within the bounds of that word count is often called flash fiction or microfiction. We accept submissions of both fiction and nonfiction.
Our Goals
As a professional journal that strives to publish the best microliterature, we’re committed to meeting and exceeding goals for each of our patrons. For our readers our goal is to ensure that only the best microliterature is published, and that each story includes the basic elements of a story while also captivating and inspiring them. For our authors we are committed to authors’ rights and preserving the integrity of our authors and their works. And for humanity it is our goal to professionally promote and expose readers of all backgrounds to the literary form of microliterature.
The Executive Editor and Staff
As the Journal of Microliterature employs a blind editing process, we do not release any information regarding the Executive Editor or the Editor Panel. This safeguards the blind editing process and doesn’t allow for bias when judging authors’ works. As a note, however, all of our editors are published authors of works in various forms, including microliterature, novels, poems, and other forms.
